ANAHEIM, Calif. — More artists have joined the lineup for Gustavo Dudamel’s upcoming benefit concert at the Hollywood Bowl, which will also mark his final performance as the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s music and artistic director.

The L.A. Phil announced that Beck, Natalia Lafourcade, Carlos Vives, Eduardo Betancourt, Meme del Real of Café Tacvba, Jorge Glem, Lasso and Moisés Torrealba will perform during A Concert for Venezuela, scheduled for Aug. 23 at the Hollywood Bowl.

The newly announced performers join Dudamel and the L.A. Phil for the one-night event, which will raise money for Dudamel’s Earthquake Recovery to Support Venezuelan Communities Fund. The initiative supports recovery efforts in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme and the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.

In a statement, Dudamel said he was grateful to the artists participating in the concert and described music as “a force that unites us across borders,” adding that the event aims to bring hope and support to Venezuelan families rebuilding their communities.

The concert will be one of the final major events of Dudamel’s tenure leading the L.A. Phil before he concludes his 17-year run as music and artistic director.
