NEW YORK — Musician Daryl Hall is grateful that a living donor gave him a new kidney.

The “Maneater” singer shared the good news with fans on social media.

“I thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor,” he wrote Tuesday night.

The 79-year-old singer and keyboardist scored several 1980s hits as half of the duo dubbed Hall & Oates.

He and partner John Oates produced singles including “One on One,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That” and “Sara Smile.” Hall later enjoyed moderate success as a solo artist who recorded with other musicians in his “Live From Daryl’s House” series taped in the singer’s Millerton home. He also owns a “Daryl’s House Club” concert venue in Pawling.

He told fans his surgery was performed earlier this month and appears to have been successful.

“It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better,” he said.

According to Hall, he’ll be back to his old self “in a few months” and plans to continue playing music.

Among those wishing her a speedy recovery were former model Bebe Buell and singer Frank Stallone.

“Heal swiftly and well, and bless us with some great new music!” wrote Buell.

“That’s great news!” Stallone posted on Instagram. “Get well soon.”
