Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce drops 25 pounds to prepare for next NFL season

Travis Kelce has had a weight loss transformation.
The three-time Super Bowl champ, also known as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, has revealed he lost 25 pounds in preparation for what could be his final season in the NFL.
During the Amazon MGM Studios Upfront in New York City on Monday, Kelce — sporting a noticeably trimmer physique — told reporters that he shed the weight during the offseason to get in better shape, but didn’t offer up any details on how he dropped the poundage.
If Kelce did indeed decrease his weight by such a measure, it would put him in the 225-pound range based on his NFL profile, which currently lists him at 250 pounds.
The tight end’s weight loss comes just three months after his Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, failing to secure what would have been a historic “three-peat” victory.
Kelce in March credited the loss as being “probably the biggest factor” in his decision to return to the NFL this year.
“I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past,” Kelce said on his “New Heights” podcast. “I want to give it a good run. I’ve got a bad taste in my mouth on how I ended the year.”
But the upcoming NFL season could potentially be Kelce’s last. The 35-year-old has hinted at retirement since late last year, suggesting that ditching the football field for civilian life may not be too far off.
Along with the podcast he hosts with his older brother, Jason, Kelce has already been pursuing other media projects, including appearing in several episodes of FX series “Grotesquerie” and hosting the Prime game show “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
