SAN JOSE, Calif. — Shaun Cassidy — one of the biggest teen idols of ’70s — is back and ready to play some shows.

The “Hardy Boys” heartthrob is doing a big Christmas season tour dubbed “Unwrapped: Songs and Stories for the Holidays.”

The Bay Area show of this tour, which is described “An Evening With Shaun Cassidy,” takes place on Dec. 19 at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. July 24.

Cassidy is part of a truly talented (and famous) family — his mom is Academy Award-winning actress Shirley Jones, his dad is Tony Award-winning actor Jack Cassidy and his half-brother is fellow former teen idol David Cassidy.

Shaun Cassidy, now 67, was one of the biggest stars of the ’70s. Over the years, he’s found success in several different realms of the entertainment world. He was on the hit TV show “The Hardy Boys Mysteries” as well as starred in the hit Broadway musical “Blood Brothers.”

He also had huge success on the pop music charts. And that was true basically right out of the gate, as he’d sign a record deal while still in high school and his self-titled debut album from 1977 ended up millions of copies, produced a No. 1 single (“Da Doo Ron Ron”) and helped Cassidy score a Grammy nomination for best new artist.
