NEW YORK — Chadwick Boseman’s family is accusing the actor’s widow of mismanaging his estate and want her removed as its administrator.

The beloved Oscar nominee was just 43 in August 2020, when he died in testate, meaning without a will, following a private battle with colon cancer.

After repeated appeals to Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, Kevin and Derrick Boseman on Friday asked a Los Angeles court to hold their sister-in-law in contempt for not abiding by a 2022 court order pertaining to the estate, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The family also wants the court to remove Taylor as the estate’s administrator and stop her dragging out the distribution of more than $3 million in remaining assets. Those include but are not limited to residuals and royalties from Boseman’s productions, as well as insurance policies, personal belongings, unclaimed property and his image.

Should the court oblige the family’s request to remove Taylor, they hope attorney Jason Rubin will serve as administrator instead.

A 2022 court order split Boseman’s estate down the middle, half of which would be for his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, and the other half for his parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman.

The family wants to ensure they have right of first refusal for any forthcoming contracts involving their late brother’s estate, and they want a full accounting of the estate within a month. Taylor, they hope, will also be ordered to pay their legal fees.
