With convertible weather upon us, the 2026 Mercedes Maybach SL680 is rolling into Grasso’s Garage.

Exceeding all expectations, the Maybach’s singular exotic design is specifically fit for the upper echelon, turning heads on every corner as the new trend-setter in town.

The Maybach is powered by a 4.0-liter V-8 bi-turbo engine with 577 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive, the SL680 provides excellent comfort and styling, with a level of power that is contained but there when you need it. Its acceleration and comfort are second to none in this category.

For the convertible market, there is no higher class than the Mercedes-Maybach.

Our tester was wrapped in Exclusive Surf Blue non-metallic paint, along with Crystal White nappa leather and silver chrome accents. Over 835 Maybach logos appear on our tester, including the hood, exterior and interior trim, pretty astounding to say the least. The 21-inch Maybach 5-hole forged wheels were also a sight to see.

On the interior, our SL680 was a real charm to ride, drive and look at. Multi-contour heated and ventilated seats with memory and massage, a Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound system with SiriusXM are just a few of the items recognized on our weeklong test.

Mercedes has a long history of success in the convertible market. With more power, more comfort, the same great styling and, most importantly, the addition of the Maybach upper trim levels, the SL680 is the ultimate head-turner.
