Vanessa Trump opened up about her new health battle, revealing for the first time that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Trump, who was previously married to President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., offered the “personal health update” in a post shared to Instagram on Wednesday.
“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she wrote.
Trump also shared that she underwent a medical procedure earlier this week before requesting privacy as she continues to prioritize her health and family.
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she said. “Thank you for your kindness and support it truly means more than I can express.
“I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery,” the post concluded.
Trump was married to Don Jr. from 2005 to 2018. They have five children together, including their eldest, Kai Trump, who has often been spotted at her grandfather’s side throughout his second presidency. Their other children include Donald III, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11.
“Strongest Person I know,” Kai wrote on an Instagram post featuring a photo of both her and her mother.
Trump is currently dating golf legend Tiger Woods. Her former sister-in-law, Ivanka Trump, also offered her support in the comment section of her post.
“Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery,” Ivanka wrote. “Love you mama.”
