Jack White responds to insults, says Trump 'masquerading as a human being' in lengthy post

DETROIT — Jack White is doubling down — tripling down? Quadrupling down? — on his criticism of President Donald Trump.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, the White Stripes rocker — who was called "a washed up, has-been loser" by White House Communications Director Steven Cheung on Tuesday — blasted Trump and his administration, calling them "petty and pathetic and thin skinned."
"Trump is masquerading as a human being," White wrote on Instagram, following up on Cheung's comments that White is "masquerading as a real artist."
"He's masquerading as a christian, as a leader, as a person with actual empathy," White wrote, calling Cheung and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt "liar toadies."
"No intelligent person can defend this low life fascist," White wrote, calling Trump a "professional golf cheat," among other insults.
"And I'm no Democrat either, I'm a human being raised in Detroit, I'm an artist who's owned his own businesses like his own upholstery shop and recording label since he was 21 years old who has enough street sense to know when a 3 card monte dealer is a grifter and a thief."
White's post was brought on following his Monday criticism of Trump's overhaul of the Oval Office, which he called "a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler's dressing room" and "an embarrassment to American history." Those comments prompted Cheung's response to The Daily Beast, which also rose White's ire.
He ticked off a long list of his past criticisms of Trump, which prompted no official response from his Administration. "It wasn't me calling out any of that," White wrote, "it was the f—ing DECOR OF THE OVAL OFFICE remarks I made that got them to respond with insults."
