Stormzy scooped £15,000 at a Las Vegas casino last weekend.

The British rapper, 33, flew out to Sin City to watch his pro boxer pal Conor Benn take on Ryan Garcia in a world title fight.

While Benn lost to Garcia in a brutal second-round technical knockout, Stormzy went the distance at the Wynn Resorts Casino by landing a £15,000 knockout blow against the house.

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Stormzy won big at the casino before the fight and couldn't believe his luck.

"There were loads of people gathering around to see the commotion.

"Someone said he ended up walking away with £15,000 - which isn't bad for a quick flutter."

Following the Vossi Bop hitmaker's huge windfall he walked away from the table.

The source added: "He isn't daft though like some people you see. Once Stormzy had the win he walked away."

Stormzy previously admitted he fancied himself as a poker player.

During one of his earlier interviews in April 2015, he told Time Out magazine: "I was good at most subjects at school. Looking back, I was a proper boffin! Now, the thing I'm really good at is poker.

"I'm not ready for the big league yet, though! But you never know, when all the music fades out..."

But Stormzy's music doesn't look like fading for now.

In March, it was reported by The Sun that he had been secretly working on his first album in four years.

Stormzy - whose real name is Michael Owuo Jr. - released three records, Gang Signs and Prayer (2017), Heavy is the Head (2019) and This Is What I Mean (2022), in five years before stepping back from music to focus on acting, but he's now working hard at Metropolis Studios in West London and plans to celebrate British musicians with his upcoming album.

A source told the publication: "For this record, Michael has decided to celebrate the wealth of amazing music talent we have in the UK.

"As well as working with established stars, he is using the record to work with emerging talent. He loves to shine a light on how brilliant they are. The process has been really collaborative and Michael is loving the journey.

"It's great to see him making magic again.

"The songs that are coming out of the studio sessions sound really exciting.

"It's an ambitious project and it's going better than anyone could have expected."
