Stockard Channing has made her first red carpet appearance in two years.

The 82-year-old actress, best known for her roles in the likes of Grease and The West Wing, is reprising her role as witch Frances Owens in Practical Magic 2, and she stepped out for the sequel's premiere in London.

Stockard was snapped at the event on Wednesday (26.08.26) evening at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square after keeping herself largely out of the spotlight.

She posed for photos in an elegant dark blue suit, posing for pictures with her co-stars.

The new Practical Magic movie sees Stockard back alongside Dianne Wiest, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.

They'll be reprising their roles as the spooky Owens family, with Dianne and Stockard as aunts Frances and Jet, while Sandra and Nicole return as sisters Sally and Gillian.

Earlier this month, the Grease star admitted she had become a "recluse" following the death of her partner Daniel in 2014.

She wrote for the Sunday Times newspaper: "It was more devastating than I realised; it had a lag effect.

"The pattern of my life shifted, so I shifted my life from Maine... I've lived alone since I lost Daniel and I'm happy being a recluse."

Stockard swapped New England for London on her own, in a move that was also partially influenced by the changing political climate in the United States.

Her career first took off after her breakout as Rizzo in Grease, a role that made her a household name.

She later moved into television and theatre, earning critical acclaim and picking up a Tony Award for A Day in the Death of Joe Egg. More recently, she reached a new generation of viewers through her work on The Good Wife.

After Practical Magic 2, she's planning to direct a production of Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape later in 2026.

As for the future beyond that, she teased: "I'm not sure I'll do anything after that. Acting is like everything in life; you never know what's going to happen."
