NEW YORK — Christy Knowings of “All That” fame has died following a severe asthma attack.

The Bronx-born actress and comedian was 46.

Her family confirmed Knowings’ death, telling TMZ that she had been hospitalized after the attack, which left her with brain damage, and was placed on life support. On Tuesday her family made the wrenching decision to remove her, TMZ reported. She died Tuesday night at a Los Angeles-area hospital.

Her aunt Tyleah Joseph shared the news on social media.

“My brother Charles’ daughter Chrissy has passed,” Joseph mourned. “She was an outstanding actress, comedian, twin sister, an amazing daughter. Rest in power Chrissy.”⁠

Knowings starred in “All That” for three seasons, appearing in more than 30 episodes from 1997 through 1999. The hit Nickelodeon sketch comedy show, hosted “for kids and by kids,” featured “many wacky characters,” according to its IMDb description. The comedy ran from 1994 to 2020 and launched many a young star, including Amanda Bynes, Kenan Thompson, Nick Cannon and Jamie Lynn Spears.

Knowings joined for Season 4 after being noticed on “And Now This,” a sketch show produced by Rosie O’Donnell. Memorable moments included the famed “Whatever” sketch in which Knowings and Bynes played two boy-crazy teens with a faux TV show.

In addition to “All That,” Knowings also appeared on three episodes of “Sesame Street” alongside twin brother Chris Knowings, a series regular, from 2008 to 2011. The accomplished singer, released a folk single, “To the World,” in 2020.

“Christy was a multi-talented lady,” her manager Al Hill told Variety in a statement. “Whether it was singing, acting, dancing, she was always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work.”

Thompson grieved for his fellow “All That” alum in a tribute social media post.

“Man this one hit hard!!!” he wrote on Facebook next to a poignant photo of Knowings. “Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!! Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!! Show Christy Knowings some love y’all!!!”
