Family guide to new movie releases
Published in Entertainment News
'ONE NIGHT ONLY'
Rated R for sexual material, language and brief nudity.
What it’s about: The government has banned premarital sex, except for one night a year. Can two crazy single kids fall in love?
The kid attractor factor: This is more for young adults.
Good lessons/bad lessons: It's not all about sex, even when it's all about sex.
Violence: None.
Language: Some swearing.
Sex: The entire premise is about sex, so there's lots of discussion of sex, sex scenes, and some bare bums.
Drugs: None
Parents’ advisory: Pretty tame for a sex comedy. Fine for older teens.

'TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA'
Rated R for bloody violence, gore, sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use and some language.
What it’s about: An indie filmmaker reviving a slasher franchise has a spooky, spiritual, empowering encounter with the film's star at an abandoned summer camp.
The kid attractor factor: This is a cerebral and metaphysical exploration of slasher movies and sexual exploration — not much appeal for kids.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Feel it, don't think it.
Violence: Some excessive and bloody slasher movie scenes.
Language: Some swearing and strong language.
Sex: Nudity and sexual scenes and discussion of sex onscreen.
Drugs: Onscreen marijuana smoking.
Parents’ advisory: Too mature for kids. OK for older teens.
