Lara Trump wears many hats. And word on the street is she’ll be wearing another one soon.

President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, who has a house in Jupiter, is reportedly in talks to record a rap track.

Shocked by the news? The onetime “Inside Edition” producer has already dipped her toe into the music biz, most notably with a country style cover of Tom Petty’s classic “I Won’t Back Down” in 2023.

The widely criticized rendition, which debuted at No. 10 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, can be found these days with a simple YouTube search. Though Trump complained at the time that Apple Music and Spotify had it shadowbanned, i.e., purposely made it less visible online. Neither company publicly commented about the accusation as far as we can tell.

Anyhoo, back to Trump’s budding hip-hop career. The North Carolina native, who has been married to Eric Trump since 2014, wouldn’t go it alone. The plan is to do a duet with Nicki Minaj who happens to be tight with the MAGA crowd. The Trinidadian artist made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest last December.

The “Anaconda” hitmaker revealed why she supports POTUS No. 45/47 on “The Katie Miller Podcast” back in February.

“I felt that a lot of that bullying and the smear campaigns and all of the lying, I felt that that had been done to me for so many years,” Minaj said regarding Trump’s 2024 campaign. “And I was watching it in real time happen to someone else, and I didn’t think he deserved it.”

According to Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” substack, a duet with the ex RNC co-chair wasn’t Minaj’s idea, though.

“Lara is definitely driving this,” an insider told the pub. “She made the first move, they’ve been talking, and Nicki hasn’t shut the door. This is much more than a passing idea.”

The motivation seems to be less about the tune and more about the interest that the collab between the unlikely pair, both 43, would create.

“Ideas have been exchanged, and everyone involved knows it would create an enormous amount of buzz,” another source told Shuter. “Whether people stream it because they love it or because they can’t believe it exists is beside the point.”
