Didi Conn is bringing her Grease co-stars together to mark the film's 50th anniversary, and the celebration will also support her son.

Grease will turn 50 years old in 2028, and Conn - who portrayed Frenchy Facciano in the 1978 motion picture - revealed a "really exciting" upcoming reunion will help to benefit The Center for Discovery in Hurleyville, New York, where her son, Danny, who has autism, receives care.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine about the reunion, she said of her co-stars: "We are in touch constantly and now, we're doing something really exciting for our 50th.

"I can't quite talk about it yet."

Didi is a huge supporter of The Center for Discovery, so much so she described it as "the most remarkable home for children with disabilities, adults with disabilities, mostly very, very fragile health".

Conn is also impressed that the nonprofit organization grows its own food, adding: "It's a working farm. They grow everything they eat."

The Grease cast have reunited numerous times since they shot the movie, including last year when Didi hosted a Grease Sing-A-Long at the Hollywood Bowl.

It was a particularly special event because leading man John Travolta, 72, rocked up dressed as his Grease character Danny Zuko, to honor his late co-star Olivia Newton-John, who passed away in 2022, aged 73.

Reflecting on the spectacle, Didi said: "I had everybody come when I was hosting at the Hollywood Bowl for 18,000 people. Even John came.

"In fact, people covered it. It was thrilling.

"He came all dressed up like Danny, had a little wig on. It was so cute. The place went ballistic. It was like a Beatle showed up. It was incredible."

Conn hasn't confirmed whether John will be part of Grease's 50th anniversary celebrations, nor whether Stockard Channing will be involved.

Didi admitted she hasn't seen Stockard - who portrayed Betty Rizzo in the movie - much of late.

She added: "The only person I haven't seen in several years now is Stockard.

"I used to see every play she was in and try to stay in touch with her, but everyone else, we're always in touch with each other."
