Frankie Valli has cancelled the remaining dates on his farewell tour.

The iconic 92-year-old frontman of The Four Seasons and the voice behind classics including Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, Walk Like a Man and December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night), has announced he willd not perform any of the remaining dates scheduled for 2026, telling fans he is stepping back from the road to focus on his health after more than six decades at the forefront of popular music.

Frankie , who launched his extended farewell tour The Last Encores in October 2023, confirmed all eight remaining performances in the scheduled run - including shows in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Detroit - had been cancelled.

The decision comes just months after the crooner received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of a career that has helped define American pop music.

Frankie said: "I'm so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health."

The announcement marks the latest chapter in an extraordinary career that has stretched from the early 1960s to the present day.

Frankie remains the only original member of The Four Seasons still performing under the group's name and has maintained a demanding touring schedule well into his nineties.

The Four Seasons became one of the most successful acts of the rock and pop era, selling more than 100 million records worldwide and earning induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

Their catalogue includes enduring hits such as Rag Doll, Working My Way Back to You, Let's Hang On! and December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night) - songs that continue to find new audiences through streaming services, film soundtracks and stage productions.

Frankie's influence was introduced to a new generation through the hugely successful musical Jersey Boys, which chronicled the rise of The Four Seasons and later inspired a film adaptation directed by Clint Eastwood.

The production helped cement Frankie's place as one of the defining voices of American popular music.

Alongside his work with the group, Frankie enjoyed a successful solo career.

His best-known solo recordings include Can't Take My Eyes Off You, My Eyes Adored You and Grease, the title song from the 1978 film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, who died in 2022 aged 73.

Earlier this year, Frankie was honoured with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising his contribution to the music industry across more than six decades.

Although the cancellation brings The Last Encores tour to an early halt, Frankie suggested he has not ruled out returning to the stage in the future.

He said: "I'm looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon."

Several dates on the farewell tour had already been postponed earlier this year before being rescheduled for summer and autumn performances.

Those concerts have now been cancelled entirely as Frankie prioritises his recovery.

Frankie has continued performing long after many of his contemporaries retired, maintaining a schedule that saw him regularly tour North America throughout his eighties and nineties while continuing to celebrate the enduring legacy of The Four Seasons.
