European YouTube star Lil Narcyz has been found dead at age 23, roughly a month after his family last heard from him and he was considered missing.

The Polish internet personality, real name Nikodem Czyzèwski, was found dead in Croatia, according to a statement earlier this month from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gliwice. The southern Polish city sits about 68 miles northwest of Krakow.

Narcyz — whose YouTube account currently sits at 456,000 subscribers with over 81 million total views — had last been in contact with his family on April 8, per TMZ Monday. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and the discovery of his remains were not immediately clear.

Police announced the end of their search though on May 5, noting they had been “searching for a young resident of our region … continuously since the report of his disappearance was received.”

“Thanks to close cooperation with the Office of International Police Cooperation, information was received about the finding of a man’s body in Croatia,” they said.

Polish outlet Fakt reported that Czyzèwski had been in Croatia for work, where his family said he “died suddenly in Zagreb,” according to an online fundraiser started to help with the funeral costs and the transportation of the young man’s body.

“I am asking for help in the most difficult moment of my life,” said a cousin, per Fakt. “His departure is a huge blow to our family and something we still can’t accept.”

Despite his significant following, Narcyz last posted a YouTube video in November 2021, with that less than 90-second clip garnering over 116,000 views. The following month was when he was last active on Instagram, where his account has nearly 13,000 followers.

“Rest in Peace, little one, I watched you in 2018 and 2019. I will miss you!” a fan commented Sunday on YouTube, according to a translation.

“We may not have liked him… but may he rest in peace,” read another translated comment.

Others still said Narcyz “influenced my mood in 2018-2020” or in one case, “built my childhood,” per translations.
