Stranger Things: Tales From '85 future confirmed by Netflix after first season

Stranger Things: Tales From '85 has been renewed for a second season just days after the new series dropped.
The Netflix animated spinoff show exploring the Hawkins gang - which is set between seasons two and 3 of the main series - is returning for more episodes and stories from the beloved franchise.
Speaking to Tudum, showrunner Eric Robles said: "Working on Season 1 has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
"Now that it's out in the world, seeing fans connect with these characters -- whether they've loved them for years or are just meeting them for the first time -- has been truly special.
"I'm excited to continue the journey. We're thrilled to return to the winter of '85 for Season 2.
"The Hawkins Investigators Club is back, and a new paranormal threat has emerged from the town's abandoned silver mines.
"I can't wait for fans to discover where this entity and the mysterious blue flower we last saw blooming in the Upside Down at the end of Season 1 take our young heroes."
Eric confirmed each season of Tales From '85 is "not isolated".
He teased: "They're very much connected."
The animated series debuted at number 7 in Netflix's Top 10 shows, and secured a spot in the top 15 animated series debuts of all time.
Stranger Things: Tales From '85 follows the characters fan know and love with a new voice cast taking over from the likes of Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink and Noah Schnapp.
Eleven is voiced by Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, with Luca Diaz playing Mike, Benjamin Plessala as Will, and Braxton Quinney as Dustin.
The main cast is rounded off by Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, and Odessa A'zion voicing Nikki.
The second season will air on Netflix later this year.
Eric has explained he and co-showrunner Ian Graham had to balance "opening up this sandbox between seasons" and having the freedom to develop the characters, while making sure to "respect certain rules and parameters".
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "The Duffer brothers didn't want us to go down their specific lore.
"Because once we open that gate and have the Mind Flayer or Vecna come out, it would have destroyed what they'd already built.
"If you're a hardcore fan, you can easily plop us on and enjoy. When we talk about what is canon, I'll tell you: It's the personalities of these characters.
"We had to make sure we stayed true. If we learn a little bit more about them, it technically still fits into their timeline. It's character growth, as opposed to world-building."
