French officials are “highly determined” to stop Ye from performing in France.

The country’s interior minister hopes to prevent the “Heil Hitler” rapper from doing a June 11 show in the southern city of Marseille due to his history of antisemitism, according to French publication Le Monde.

All options for blocking the artist formerly known as Kanye West from performing are said to be under consideration. Ye was one of the world’s most popular performers when he posted an October 2022 message on social media in which he threatened to go “death con 3 on Jewish People.”

That appeared to be a botched reference to the military state of increased readiness known as DEFCON 3. He has since made numerous remarks demonizing Jews, for which he recently apologized. That conduct led several companies to cut ties with the musician who Forbes said was worth $1 billion in April 2022. He’s now believed to be worth $400 million.

Ye blames mental health problems for his erratic behavior.

The BBC reported last week that officials in the United Kingdom denied Ye’s application for an Electronic Travel Authorization visa he needed to perform at London’s Wireless Festival in July. That decision was “made on the grounds that his presence would not be conducive to the public good.”

The Wireless Festival was canceled after organizers learned their headliner wouldn’t be allowed to enter the U.K.

Ye performed a pair of sold-out shows in Los Angeles at the start of April. His next concert is scheduled for May 23 in India. His Ye Live Concert Tour 2026 also includes stops in the Netherlands, Turkey, Portugal and Spain.
